Gestures of Help and Support #postEarthquake

It brought the never seen before disaster with that almost a minute long strong shaking of ground. It is still haunting people with aftershocks, which have been routined almost as good morning shocks and good night shocks. Moreover, the thunderstorms are competing with the tremors now. Death toll has crossed eight thousands and the number of injured has reached almost eighteen thousands. Dharahara, Basantapur, Temples, villages, roads….none are left from the devastation. But the rays of hope are shining, that we will rise again.

Volunteer Batch from Bibeksheel Nepali
In these tougher times, the gestures of help shown by the fellow countries, youths of Nepal and the police and armies are totally overwhelming and supportive. Every bit of help from every single person is accounted. The kind of support, interest and unity we have come across during this period only shows that Together We Rise. Irrespective of class, caste or religion, we have come united to help the country and put the nation above everything else.

There is the huge presence of youth volunteers in rescue and relief works. From clearing the debris to cleaning the dirty areas, chlorinating the hospitals to carrying the bricks, raising the fund to distributing it to the affected districts, donating blood to helping in reconstruction, from valley to the outside of valley, there can be seen commendable involvement of youth volunteers, or saying more generally, Nepali brothers and sisters.

I, personally, am very much flattered seeing this level of unity and support and the amazing bunch of people volunteering. If only this harmony and togetherness could last longer and longer, we would witness more prosperity in the society and the nation, ultimately. Help and support is much needed in this kind of grievous period, and its being continuously gotten too.

Also, looking at the help coming from many countries and their citizens, all we can conclude is humanity does exist. We all are human beings first, and humanity is the first religion we share. Only then comes all the classifications according to many things that we all know. Well, #GoHomeIndianMedia was different thing!

And about the issues of posting photos on facebook, I don’t see any harm. If one wants to share his/her good deed, then what’s wrong? Yes, posing for a photo while giving a packet of noodle might not look genuine, but its not that harmful as well. When we see some people doing as much as they can from their sides, it gives motivation for us to keep helping and satisfaction that we all are working together from different places for same cause, for our country.

So, let’s keep supporting. Let’s keep doing every bit as we have in our capacity. Let’s be united for real and maintain this togetherness in coming days too. Let’s show our affected brothers and sisters that we all are together for them. Let’s make our nation even more beautiful and peaceful. Let’s maintain the hopes. We will rise again. We will definitely rise from the ashes. We will stand with our heads held high in every step. We will make our country.
