Conflicts - Bloods and Scars & A thin ray of Hope

"नेपाली हामी रहौंला कहाँ नेपालै नरहे"

Back on April, strong earthquake hit our country leaving thousands of lives shattered and the heart of Nepalese devastated. Nepal Police and Army were the first helping hands in that time of grief and disaster.

Today, seven officers lost their souls in a peaceful movement! Yes, they had called it a peaceful movement! An officer was burnt alive. An officer was stabbed by a spear. A two year old kid of a constable was shot by a gun, inside his home.

It is feeling very painful to write this – we are more heartbroken today, a #BlackMonday, by Tikapur incident. So-called protesters brutally murdered the police officers in the name of riot. How could one Nepali murder other Nepali? Shame on us...

Many have said many things on the topic. People have got very disgusted and are angered which can be seen on the Facebook and Twitter posts. Who wouldn’t be? What has happened today is totally shameful. See from the eyes of the parents of that kid, of the family of those officers, even from the family of other civilians who died -- what is this all for? But the important question is “what will happen next?” The situation is of despair. Fear of upcoming consequences in the nation has lingered big time now.

From what happened today, another civil war doesn’t seem far away. But this time, cashing the huge load of caste and religion. To blame the Tharu group solely will not be justice here. I strongly believe that there’s some crook element behind the mask, planning all these hateful acts. There were conflicts about Tharuhat province for a long time but Tharu group alone could not have done this bloody criminal act. This must have been pre-planned. Otherwise, how come villagers bring local weapons in so-called peaceful movement? It's not only about Tharu society, no normal people could have done this without prior planning and intention of attacking.

Going over the news, it seems clear that the protesters were so ready for the attack. People are basically being SHEEP. Most of the people there might not even understand about the constitution and federalism. They are following the fool leadership without even knowing the true essence of the movement. For what? To murder those who are there for our safety? Who comes first for help when in disaster? who helps them when their homes gets sunk in the flood? who serves day and night for the country? To kill other fellow brothers and sisters? To shoot a child, an innocent in the name of identity?

You need an identity? A SHAMELESS MURDERER will be the best for you. How about A SINFUL TRAITOROUS?

I, myself, don’t understand fully about the federalism thing. But by seeing the current scenario, I don’t vote for this. No, I don’t, not when all it is bringing is the river of blood and hatred between each other; all it is doing is the segregation of my country. Where went the unity and ‘Buddha was born in Nepal’ feelings?

Every other day, someone is asking for Akhanda yo and Akhanda Tyo. Have they forgotten about the Akhanda Nepal? Why would we classify our country over any conflict-arising base? What would Limbuwan or Tamsaling bring? Will Tharuhat or Akhanda Terai make the Nepal better? Or, Akhanda Madhya Paschim is gonna bring the magic all over Karnali? What better would Newa and Magarat do? What contribution is Hindu Kingdom going to give in development that is not given by secular state? Is not the classification of current five development region better for the system? At least, it comprises of Himal, Pahad and Terai all, and all sort of castes and religions.

It is no good that we keep on fighting and fighting all the time for every little issues. When we all are supposed to be unified and walk ahead for the development, we are pushing ourselves back. Leaders are leaders here in Nepal, does it still need their description? Even the good ones are outlined by the crooks. They mourn over the encounter of some dons and raise others again but don’t take a step for effectively stopping the conflict.

There was a hope that has been expanded a bit lately. But now? If this scene gets continued, there will be hardly any hope left. There will be SCARS and ASHES and BLOODS. This must be stopped. Lets be sensible and logical. Let humanity survive inside all of us. Let us be humans first and then Nepali. Still, a thinner than the thinnest thread of hope will be hanging on our minds and hearts. Because we have seen too much already and we have remained strong. We will stay strong again, at least for the sake of ending this bloody conflict.

I hope and I pray that this uncertainty and darkness will vanish soon. The minds of people and the leaders will soon come back on the right track. We will be shining as a unified NEPAL and shouting as a unified NEPALI. We all will be walking with our hands by hands regardless of caste, class or religion. Together towards the development, the betterment….

(I copied photos from Facebook. I had to as these very meaningful images are floating around on the news feed and don't know the actual source.)
