Top 5 Latest Nepali Songs 2015

Different genres and different artists, but one thing common - its Nepali, Nepali music. Quality is speaking over these recent tracks, and I'm hooked. I'm literally in awe of these songs.

1.       Jaalma (Ost. Resham Filili)

This one is addictive and how. Latest one, this song from upcoming movie Resham Filili is very much peppy and makes you groove all the way. Having been the latest superhit in the media and social networks, this melodious piece has already crossed 1 million views within a week. Voices of Kali Prasad Baskota (Also a Composer) and Somea Baraili are top-notch. Music is simply the best; lyrics are unique and catchy. A fun song, halka-kammar-markaune-types!! I wish its length to be more, may be full song is coming in the movie itself.

2.      Bistarai – Cover by Namrataa Shrestha (Ost. Soul Sister)

Original Bistarai of Rohit John Chhetri was a hit. A very good song, I say. And this cover by Namrataa Shrestha for her movie Soul Sister is equally amazing. Her voice is very nice and she has sung this with such an ease. Soothing and soft, this song is one of the best in the lot.

3.       Ghamko Sano Tukra (Astha Tamang Maskey)

Astha Tamang Maskey is very talented singer, listen her songs in her youtube playlist. This one is made for CWIN Balika Peace Home. It gives you a smile for sure. Lyrics by Susan Maskey is superb, beautifully composed and rendered by Astha’s vocal. Music video is very nice. See that portion where one girl says that she wants to become a heroine and all other girls cheers. Simply nice, eh?

4.       Paani Bina (Ost. Suntali)

This song was in my head since I heard a portion of it in movie’s trailer. Night band amazingly plays with traditional instruments and gives us masterpieces. It feels very good to listen our own folk-melody with typical lyrics that just touch your heart easily. It’s very up to the roots! Jason Kunwar and Sumnima Singh are very much talented.

5.       Sunko Jutta (Night)

Night again. This one makes you wonder how talented the band is. Very short yet gripping lyrics, with that haunting vocals and strong music, this song is superb. Music video tells a story and how! I wish for more length!

**Item One**
Timro Dola Dola Haatma (Ost. Hawaldaar Suntali)

This song is not the best and may not show quality enough but its not bad either. Following the steps of Slowly Slowly and Simple Simple, here comes yet another item song! This one is entertaining and fun. I first thought ‘yet another creepy song’ but something made me listen it few more times, and I liked it! Lyrics, just-for-fun-type! Music entertains quite well. Yubraj Chaulagain and Sahima Shrestha have given the vocals. Choreography of this song is just average. They tried new by making actors and dancers dance in moving tailor, very Chal Chaiyaan Chaiyaan type, huh!!  Moreover, making of circle with tata sumos also did not make a sense!

Happy Listening!
