At Some Point

photo credit: facebook.com/memenepal I have a sense of happiness today. Like any other normal Nepali person, I am happy for the very Nepal Constitution 2072. It is indeed a historic day. What is making it more joyous is seeing people celebrating the day with excitement. It looked like the day of Laxmipuja in Tihar. This time, Deepawali is celebrated before Dashain and we will celebrate it again for sure. I don’t care with the political agendas as l ong as they do not harm the peace of our country. This time around, the biggies have compromised and united to give birth to the constitution. I wish this unity to long last forever. And I hope there will soon be amendment with unsatisfied parties and they too will join this unity. For our country, for people. The bus was crowded as always and I was standing, trying to balance myself in that crowd - doing so are other people. And there was a traffic jam upto Koteshwor, as always again. A woman boarded into a bus from Manohara bridge. She was carrying a little baby. Imagine now, how difficult it would have been to her? Our difficulties, relatively and comparably, are quite nothing then. But nobody offered her a seat!! After a couple of minutes, there was this one fine lady, who was also standing -- she requested a man to give his seat to that 'mother'. That very 'man', with a lot of weight, was sitting right beside the standing mother. But NO! He didn't let his precious seat. Instead, he threw quite a disgusting look. Seriously!!
